Not quite ready for primetime...
This isn't really ready for a full-fledged critique. What I'm looking for is some colour suggestions. Personally, I really like this colour combo. The client likes the blue but is "not to keen on" the brown. I really can't come up with something that works as well with that particular blue. Any suggestions?

Thats not bad, tried just swapping the blue and brown around?
how about a browner brown (#825300) or darker blue (#000080) or something

try replacing the brown with gold? or perhaps an earthy dark yellow(not quite brown)
Personally i like the colouring, but clients are whiney maggots who should be honoured just to gaze upon us let alone let us do their websites for them.... :takes deep breath: .... yeah i like the brown. lol

Hmmm... I tend to agree with busy that maybe you should try to fiddle with the shades a little bit so the brown looks less brown, although that might require a change in the blue too which I'm sure isn't what you wanted... you could try taking some inspiration from a beach scene with a more sandy looking beige (less orangey).

Actually, Busy is suggesting *more* brown
- the client is suggesting more orange. Personally, I think this *is* a sandy looking beige, I don't see any orange in it at all.
Oh, just to constrain things more, I'm trying to stay "web safe" here.

I agree that the colours are great together but clients are a funny species! I would have said that the brown you have there is quite a sandy colour but an orange would go with that shade of blue quite well.

Just curious, since most of its images (what your considering changing) why worry about net safe colors? even 256 colors forgive a lot these days.

Ayup - like Julia said. I like to have my primary colour scheme web safe when possible to allow me the freedom of using those colours for links, headings, hr tags, etc. without worrying about matching.

I like the colors, but switching the blue and brown around the image might make it better.

I like the colors as they are. They seem to compliment the photo well instead of distracting from the photo.

Nice site Taff, I like the way you tricked the 'd' and the 'g' with the pic's border.
I shouldn't change too much, maybe change the text color of the content text.
