Wow. I know this isn't the best webpage header ever, but if you knew how much of a photoshop noob I am, you would understand why I'm so amazed at myself.

Please let me know what you think of the new header, and give me tips for improving it. I have little/no artistic ability, so any tips/suggestions would help a lot!

The logo can be seen here: http://www.holdemcrew.com/themes/Brittania/images/logonew.gif

And can be seen in action at http://www.holdemcrew.com ... unless I have already taken the tips from this thread and re-worked the image Smiling

FYI: To give you an idea of how bad I am at this, here are some previous iterations.

It's not bad at all. What program did you use for the animation?

I used photoshop/imageready

Here is a (kinda bad) tutorial on how I did it:

Which is better?

Any one have tips on how to improve it? Is it too conjested? Should I make the background even lighter?

Do the chips and cards in the background even add anything to the image? Or should I just remove them alltogether?

Looks like you've changed your online logo already. I wasn't to hot on your previous attempts but I think your latest online version works great. Simple and bold = good branding. Good job.

The only picky thing I'll suggest is perhaps fading out the suits just a tiny shade more. Not much. I think that would help the overlying text pop a bit more and be easier to read, especially the smaller second line. But it looks good. Thumbs up.

Looks fantastic! Especially compared with the others. Laughing out loud

Seriously, I know what you mean. I have to do tons of logos when I design one before I come up with any I like.
