Need Help/Advice on how to standarize page size
I am having trouble getting my website ( still in design stage) to look the same on different size monitors. I have an older 15in with only two screen resolutions to chooose 800x600 or 1024x768. I've tried making my page size fit without having to scroll horizontally but then when I see the page on other monitors, 17 inch with resolutions set per individual preferences, my website never looks the same size on any of them. Is there a way to make it adjust according to the users screen size? What am I missing? I've tried so long without success that frustration is setting in so I'd appreciate any suggestions at all.
Thanks.

Could you post a URL so we can see what you're trying to do? That would be very helpful.
I'm assuming you're using tables to do you layout in HTML. What you'll want to do is have your main layout table set to 100% width. Then you'll probably have some columns fixed with and other columns flexible. You could choose to give all your columns a percentage width which will make the whole thing expand with the screen resolution. You could also give some columns fixed widths and leave one with no width - that column will expand to fill the remaining space.
In web design generally, it's pretty much impossible to make somthing look identical on all browser-screen resolution configurations. Best to accept that and do the best you can to make your site adapt to user preferences. Looking good but not necessarily exactly the same.

The website is kandrconstruction.com I'm trying to fix one for my husband's business but it's been over 10yrs since I've did any web design. I use Frontpage 2000 if that helps anyone know my obstacles too. We aren't trying for a screaming flash page, just a clear, eye appealing business website. Thanks graciously for ANY suggestions to get this thing done, any improvement you professionals see that you don't mind sharing, no worries of offending me if you say it's horrible.. haha I'm trying.....

Hmmm youre on a good start here, anyways, all I can say is that to prevent you from doing the site over again is to lessen the overall width to say about 750px, (ive indicated this to the PM) and center the page...
