need help with psd website templates

Hi everyone,

I have searched the web all I can and cannot find any tutorial or a howto to accomplish this task.

I bought a PSD template from an online template reseller website. They do not support or answer any questions so they are of no help. Basically what I got from them is

1) the PSD file which has the whole website in layered format.
2) the fonts that are used in the PSD
3) crappy documentations

The documentation says that I should open the psd in adobe image ready and then just use save optimized as…

When I open the image in IMAGE READY I see lots of slices already created for me. I guess they did that already. I click on FILE->SAVE OPTIMIZED SAVE AS. What that does is creates a HTML document and an images directory with tons of images in them. When I open the HTML page in Macromedia Dreamweaver I cannot modify the TEXT in the body of the page because they are all images. There is no actual HTML text.

How can I export from IMAGEREADY or PHOTOSHOP so that the BODY TEXT is exported properly as HTML TEXT and if possible a CSS is exported for the TEXT formatting?

Sincerely,
Mansoor.

Image Ready can't do that for you. You have to do that yourself. You'll have to modify the slices in Image Ready to take out the text. Then you'll have to change the HTML in dreamweaver to make those images background images that you can then put text over. The CSS you'll aslo need to do yourself.

You may be able to hire someone to do this for you. Check the Market Place area.

Hi Mansoor
I specialise in Template slicing and can do this for you for $15 if you are still in need.
