I get a javascript error on that first page.

do you want it to replace the navigation you have on there now.
if its to replace it, look in your source code and find this and replace everything between the tags (including those tags)

Is that code too big for a nav in your opinion?

Is that a dynamic menu system with drop-downs etc.? I can't get it to work in Opera or IE (images aren't showing up). IME, code for those drop-down systems does tend to be pretty hefty in most cases, although I haven't used them in a long time so maybe that's changed ???? In any case, if you're going to do that it would be best to include it as an external javascript.

As for where it should go on your page, I'd assume you'd put it where the old navigation menu is now. I find that it usually works best to have these things in mind before designing a navigation system

I know! I haven't uploaded them! It is a drop-down menu though yes! What do you mean when you say have it as external Java?

Looking at your code in the actual HTML file there, Fireworks did do that - it must have created an external script called mm_menu.js. You should have that file somewhere (probably in the same folder it put the images, or near there anyway). In the HTML file you linked to you can see how it linked to that file right before the tag, just like taff said. I haven't look at it, but this most likely contains all the code you posted above. This is the part of the script that makes things work. Just like most menu systems, there is a second part of the script which describes how things will appear on the screen. This second part of the script is in the actual html file in the header area (all those lines of mm_menu_1002145029_1 ....). In order to keep things clean and tidy you might want to put this into an external javascript as well.

So, that's the script part of this menu. The actual images are displayed in a table (which should proably be cleaned up - they've got a whole ton of spcaer.gif's in there that should be removed). In order to put this menu system into your other page, you'd put your script links into the area, like taff described and just as FW has done in the file it generated. Then you would copy and paste that entire table with all the images in it into your actual HTML page, pasting it in the place where you want the menu to appear (as Busy said). That *should* work.

I'm sorry about my above answer - I went by what you posted rather than looking at the code you had there.

Oh, and just as a side note - IME, these drop-down menu systems can often be more trouble than they're worth. Good luck with yours

Can you post a short summary please because I am confused now!

I'll try one more time:

There are three parts to this script - two javascript sections and an HTML section. Fireworks has created all of this for you. There should be a javscript file called mm_menus.js and an HTML file (which you linked to above). All you really have to do is copy and paste these parts from the HTML file it created into your own HTML file.

THat's because Timewell doesn't seem to have uploaded the mm_menus.js file that is required to run this menu. Either that or the js link isn't pointing to the right place.

To be honest, I didn't look at the html either. I just did now and wish that I hadn't Yowza - good ol macromedia.

Timewell - you obviously *will* have to upload the images and .js files for this to work. Word of caution: Your script calls the images from the root meaning that if you put them all in an images folder (which is conventional) it still won't work. Upload your images as well as the .js file as I explained earlier except that it needs to remain named "mm_menu.js" unless you want to edit that in your html.

i created a drop down nav bar (dynamic) using javascript...long and complicated, but works nice

You guys know that I am pretty bad at this web-design stuff! Would you recommend me doing this navigation or not? Just sticking to the old one?

practice makes near perfect

maybe stick to the old one until you can get the hang of this new one. Maybe learn the basics of javascript so you know whats happening where and why.
It is better to know why problems are happening when/if they happen or trying to fix them can become a nightmare. then again you can get similar results on a bad hair day

I would strongly recommend that you not bother with dHTML drop-down menus unless you're willing to put up with a lot of problems. And that goes for anyone.
