Media links

In the website I am currently developing, I have some media links. I ONLY want the user to be able to DOWNLOAD the associated media and NOT play or view it via streaming audio/video. I have noticed during testing, when I left click on one media link, say audio, a download dialog appears. However, when I left click on another media link, say video, the local native media player launches and begins playing the media.

Does anyone know why Windows reacts differently when activating different media links?
Also, can anyone tell me if there is a way to restrict user online media access to DOWNLOAD ONLY?

Thanks.

It's up to the user, not you.

However, yes, you can zip it up or alter your server to not send the right headers for those files.
