Logo optimization for print
I'm having problems printing the following logo in mono. It seems to lose alot of quality and the image is printed at 100%.
Here's the .jpg...
I will e-mail the .png if you wish to play with it.
Could anyone indicated what I might be doing wrong?
Cheers.
Will

Check the resolution of the image. I'd be willing to bet you're printing it at 72 or 96 ppi, which is less than optimal for print. IIRC, print stuff likes to be at 120 ppi or so.

For best result, use vectors for print, raster only for highly complex imagery -- also at a higher print resolution. 120ppi should be the minimum for print or you end up with newspaper mastheads that look daft and blurry, like a local rag has. *shaking head*
Generally raster images at low dpi or ppi are for onscreen display only.

Thanks for the suggestions guys but I'm using Fireworks; how do I achieve this?

You can increase the dpi in Fireworks?

In the image resize box in FW you can set the dpi to whatever you need
