Layout Test
Could you guys do a browser test with this site?
The layout is just about done and depending on what kind of response I get I will finish out the rest of the pages.

I just checked the Obituaries page...looks good untill i noticed that the text of the deceased is half on the black background....eg it's not wrapping. (IE5)
"Whenever you do a thing, act as if all the world were watching."
Online Data Backup? I'd like to see that!

Sorry about that, I meant to pull all links. The rest of the layout are a collection of tests with the tables, finally deciding to stay with a set width and complete. The one page that you are taken to is all that I am working on, the rest of the site will follow suit within a couple hours if this one page tests out in browsers etc.
The reason the obituary page overlapped was due to a blockquote test with an image placement that went awry about a week ago.
If this one page tests out I will finish the site. Database should be done today and it is a final bill out.
Good eye luckster! on the text box and go button alignment I would have missed that, actually did miss that thank you.
Anyone else?

how exactly does a "browser test" differ from a "critique"?
Where do I start/stop?
In addition to Lukster's comments (same here on IE 5.5) the site "falls apart" in Netscape 4.72, the short of it being that you have some sort of background inheritance issues - everything is green in Netscape.
NN does not handle table backgrounds as efficiently as IE.
Really, the best thing would be for you to look at it in NN4 to understand the problem.

IE 5.0 here. Looks great except for the "Go" button like Lukster said. I especially like how you did the image change on the house. Pretty Cool!
I also like the black body text much better than the green you had yesterday. (i think it was green?)

This is not a site critique, the sites layout will stick, then the entire site will be produced, title images, database integration etc. When the layout is tested out I will then finish the site. When the site is completed I will ask for a site critique, navigation flow etc.
Thank you for the comment about Netscape, I suppose to really test it I should test it in netscape myself.
I understand what you mean by I have to see it for myself.

Enough with the go button! HAHA just kidding. Yea I will fix it, it is my scourge!
I tried to make the house look like a lit bulb when I sliced that out, bevel etc. I worked on the initial image dropping its image size down but havent on the mouse over image, which it will need work soon.
I thought the green text didnt work either which is why it was changed, but really I found it by accident late last night when I was emailing with you back and forth DM. It does look better with black text, thanks.'
