Hi guys!

I have made a little Flash sequence for my site. Can you tell me what you think of it and how to get it onto:

I know it is Publisher but I will be removing that and placing this in it's place with a grey border around it and this flash movie in the middle.

What do ya think?

Okay, that needs to stop at the end. It's impossible to read the text when it disappears right a way. Put a stop action in your last frame.

What is a stop action?

As it is at the moment it just repeats and it is impossible to read the last bit of text, either have it just play once or add some frames to the end so that you have time to read it all before it starts over again.

Which version of Flash are you using? In Flash MX, create a new layer, then right-click the last frame of the movie and click Actions in the menu. Look for the Actions tool-window, and in it there should be a + button. Click it and navigate to Actions > Movie Control > Stop. And Bob's yer uncle. Smiling

I suggest you look through Flash's help files and tutorials and learn a bit more about actions. Wink

Aah thanks!

It stops now. I haven't put it online yet though! How would you create a Flashing effect as if it was lightning?

Hard to say. Just what kind of lightning effect do you want? A lightning bolt? Or just a flash of white across the canvas? Or something else?

I'm sure there are tutorials for this or something similar. Look around flashkit.com and search google.com for "flash tutorial" or something.

Also bear in mind, try to keep it simple at first. Only add extra effects if they serve a good purpose. Wink
