Increasing the brightness/contrast on Real Video clips
Evening all, wonder if I can pick upon your collective brains again please?
I have a 15-minute video that I want to put on the net.
Normally I capture using a video card and convert to Realvideo to keep the file size small, but inevitably I'm always disappointed with just how dark the resultant clip becomes no matter what the compression setting.
Are there any free "editors" that will allow me to whack up the contrast or increase the brightness of the Realvideo clip?
Cheers as always

You should be able to find some free or trial video editors out there. Most of the decent ones cost you a hefty price, but you can find some simple ones for free to do this for you or some higher-quality ones in a trial format. Since I have no experience in this field, the best I can do is refer Google to you: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=free+video+editor

Cheers mjames I'll give it a bash but it's pot-luck trying to find one that does what I'm looking for (and free to boot).
Atleast I didn't get a tumbleweed
Cheers

I was thinking about this and came to the conclusions that the chances of finding a good video editor for free are slim to none. The first result in the search Marc posted does claim to have colour adjsutment (and it's free) so I guess you could try that. Sorry we couldn't be of more help - the only video editors I've used are Premiere and a cheap one called iFilm Edit which doesn't do much beyond the basics.
