This idea is a bit tricky, but would it work?

Check out Luckboy.net/default.shtml. Look at top of the main content, you'll see a bar that allows you to choose the "screen size".

What that bar does is change the title image at the top of the page (which has no set size). That title image is the largest thing on the page, therefor, in theory, a visitor could load the page and choose they're preferred page size.

I'd like to add a few other things like cookies (to remember the size they picked) and maybe some ASP to make a good guess at what their screen size is already.

What'd you guys think?

I like the idea Smiling

BTW: there's no need to use ASP for 'guessing' the screeensize. It can be done by using javascript.

Yes, neat idea. Particularly good for people at high resolutions who may prefer something that fills their screen (large) or something smaller in the center (medium or small).

Just one thing. "Insanely" is spelled wrong. You have "insainly"

There's only one problem. When the page loads it runs out and stores all the roll-overs into the cache.. which means that you'd need to download 5 different title images for the site. -- That's no good! Any idea's?

Oh, and thanks for the spelling correction. I never would have given it another thought.. Shocked

Just a note to let you know it doesnt work in Netscape 4.7, the image changes ok but doesnt resize like it does in IE
