Hi BrokenLinux. First of all I will welcome you to TWF. Smiling

That is an interesting layout. I like it. There is a bit of a horizontal scroll at 800 X 600. Looks to be about 15 px. Not a big deal I guess since there isn' t anything over that way. I guess my biggest suggestion would be to make your logo bigger and make it yellow to bring out your accent color. I think that would look nice. Also, when I meese over the links they get bold so your cells are expanding. I assume you know this but I think it would look better with just a color change. That's bout all I have to comment on.

Might consider moving everything over to the right a little and smushing out some of that blank space.

Looks nice.

Thank you for the welcome and the advice....and u are right...it does look much better with the tables moving around...and i believe the size now would look good in 800x600, 640x480 will have to suffer Sticking out tongue

thx again

Welcome to the boards. I too like the layout but agree that the logo needs to stand out more but I don't like the phase2digital that is at the bottom, it spoils the look somehow. The dark text is also a bit hard to see and make all the first letters of your links capitals. The only other thing I'm not sure about is the blue in there especially the larger square of it at the top, maybe try a greener blue.

This is not bad. I do agree that the logo should stand out more and the effect you've used on it doesn't seem to go with the rest of the design. I also think that it would be a good idea to use the blues and yellows you've introduced in the navbar a little bit more. Maybe you could put some sort of effect in that right sidebar with the 1s & 0s introducing other colours. I also think that the navbar text should be done in white and should be left aligned so it will relate better to the coloured boxes.

I really agree strongly with what everyone has said. I think it's a real dood design overall.

Because the text is hard to read on the green - maybe think about making that green square on the left - white. That way that text will jump out when you put in some content!

Ok I'll give you as much as I can on this.
Before I start I think this design has some real potential and could work very well if you use it right.

Suggested Improvements
----------
1) Maybe the font of the main text. I think many people would agree that Time New Roman isn't exactly the easiest to read on a screen and also it is not expecially common compared to fonts like Verdana and Arail.
2) A new Wink
3) In your Logo I think you might consider taking off the bevel. Bevel's have their place but I don't think that goes especially well with your fairy linear design.
4) I like some of the colors you used but the olive green doesn't do much for me when I see it with the other colors. I could live with the pinkish lines inbetween cells but you might consider this olive color.

Whats good about it?
--------------
1) Your design is definently original. It is not boring and is not completely repulsing like some sites Smiling
2) Its fast and not too complicated. Thumbs up.
3) Your image on the right is very nice and is not too overpowering.
4) The page adjusts to the text size that the user has selected. I dunno if you noticed this but it is nice because you do not have to worry about css fonts unless you really feel like it.

So that is a pretty good report I think. Keep up the work. Looks good overall just needs a few tweek. Then again its hard to please everyone!
