How to make text have glow?
How do you make text have a glow, the text will be black and the glow will be teal. I've tried to read other tutorials about it but i just can't follow them and i baught a book on photoshop 6 to help me, no luck. So if you could tell me how to do this in photoshop 6, i would appreciate it so freakin much.

Just use layer effects. Right click on the text layer and choose "effects". You'll get a dialog box with drop shadow, outer glow (which is what you want), inner glow, bevel etc. Uncheck the check box at the top drop shadow dialog (it automatically assumes you want to do a drop shadow - at least PS 5.5 did). Then click the outer glow tab. Change the colour box there to the teal you want and play with the other settings until you get something you like.
Good luck1

Try this:
just change the orange red color to whatever you like
happy coding
p.s does not work in netscape!!
<script>
from)
{
theText.style.filter = "Glow(Color=" + glowColor + ", Strength=" + i + ")";
i--;
theTimeout = setTimeout('textPulseDown()',delay);
return 0;
}
if (i = from)
{
theTimeout = setTimeout('textPulseUp()',delay);
return 0;
}
}
//-->
</script>

Try using the alpha:glow code.. I forget the exact syntax, but I'll dig it up later.

That only works in PS 5.5, if you have PS 6 use Blending Options
