How to make Show Grid default in Illustrator?
I think there is a way to set Illustrator up so that each new file shows grids. It's a bit of a pain to constantly have to show grid. Anyone know how to do this? I can't find it in the Preferences/Guides and Grids.
Thanks

Which version of Illustrator do you have? That could make a difference.
I'm thinking that this just isn't possible - it doesn't seem to be in Photoshop 6 either and things like this are usually the same in both programs. You'd think that it would remember what you had in your last document, like it does with rulers.
Maybe you should send this suggestion to Adobe!

Hey cordedpoodle, I have 8 and I couldn't figure out how to do it. Thought it might just be my outdated version so I looked all over the net when you first posted and was unable to find anything at all. Like Meg said, maybe it isn't possible.

Well, at least I know it's the hard problems I'm asking for help with!
