I have had someone create the flash intro HERE for a site I'm building, forgive the download time, that's what I'm trying to sort out.

I really want to use this as the company wanted something different but I don't really want a long preloader as it really isn't worth it for the length of the movie. The logo for the company will come up at the end and it was due to have some sound along with it.

Can anyone suggest anything to reduce the file size (a whopping 798kb) The problem is not having done it myself (I can't draw!!) the artist has obviously created separate images for each frame of movement.

Also what is the ACTUAL difference between publishing Top Down & Bottom UP?

Any thoughts will be very gratefully received.

THe only thing I can think of is to try to get rid of some of the extra frames. That animation is really smooth looking - it's great to look at and all but all those individual frames will really affect the download speed. So try taking out some frames and maybe putting tweens in instead. If the frame rate is fast enough it should still look okay.

I'm kind of guessing here, but I think that might help.

Trouble is, one of them did all the individual drawings & the other coloured them & put it into flash, then I have to try & build the rest of the site around it!! Do you ever get the feeling that you wish you'd never started something!

What frame rate do you normally set the movie at?
