I just added a "Your Photo Here" box on my site. You can view it on my homepage. It is very plain and not very enticing. Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to make it more professional looking? I am not a graphics expert, obviously, and am using psp. thanks!

you can make professional images with PSP, if you learn to use its full potential, What I can suggest is maybe you can use some slight 2-color gradient on the text and borders, make it of a brighter color shade, put some light shadow and highlights to make it look polished... just my 2 cents...

If you have some sort of logo for your website, put that in the middle and surround it with the words "Your Photo Here", or add some sort of clip art or something and surround it with the words. Something that makes it more appealing to you will probably make it more visually appealing to your visitors. Wink

I am using Jasc Paint Shop Pro to create graphics. You should try the software. It is a bit complicated to use at first but it has very powerful features.

Jasc Paint Shop Pro = PSP which he said in the first post. It's just web jargon and slang Smiling

I would add a camera "clip art style" image faded into the background, or something of that nature.
