Google & Dynamic Pages

Hi

I have created a site using PHP and a mysql database for a music promoter. I have stored the many bands in the database and use a dynamic page title to display them:

artistprofile.php?ID=7

I believe that google does not recognise ?ID. Is this correct?

Has anyone got any tips for using dynamic pages within google as my client wants all his band pages to appear in google listings when someone types in the band name (which is in the title bar but not the page address)?

How about changing id=7 to something like artistprofile.php?artist=stan or artistprofile.php?dummer=mike, not only does it do away with the ID it also gives you keywords the search engine can use
