Forum install services - company logo?
I am seeking a few ideas for a logo.
My current project is a website that installs forums, PHPBB, for people/businesses.
I like the idea of 3D, although wouldn't really know where to start to create one, so advice on that would also be appreciated.
I have played with logo ideas with actual snippets of forums, like thread listings etc, but to be honest, it looks terrible.
I dont even think the worlds best designer would make a decent logo from forum thread lines, I think its just a bad approach that wont ever possibly become a decent logo (without being tacky or cheesy that is)
But I am now stuck for some inspiration. I could just go with some nice 3D effects of colours, shadows and curvy lines or whatever, but am desperately trying to make it relate to the actual context of the website services...forums, or forum installing.
Any ideas?

Heres an idea, hire a logo designer like me.
Just kidding. Anyways, a good forum logo could include people symbols for the "community" aspect... speech bubbles are also applicable, it translates to communication... another idea are arrows, that could well translate to threads and exchange of ideas...

speech bubbles and communication... my brain is currently too wrapped in code for any sort of 'flair'
I feel like 100% machine at the moment.
In the coming few months (or so) I will be venturing into business related to logos and desgn sales.
If I get overwhelmed by orders, I know where to come ...
