Flash movie slow to load in explorer

I'm currently designing a site in my spare time for a charity and they want a flash intro. I've produced a short intro of about 75kb and it loads with lightning speed in firefox, but at snails pace in explorer. Anybody know why? Plus is their a way of not using the embed tag for firefox, as I'd like the site to be xhtml standard.

Thanks for your help,

the link for the test server is big-id.awardspace.com.

There is only the intro at the moment. I have further reduced it's nice to around 45kb but I still have the same problem i.e. slow to load in explorer. More specifically, the first two flags at the bottom load before the movie, but the last one doesn't load until after the movie has started playing which I find annoying, because I want people to be able to skip the intro by choosing a language.

Loads up fine for me in both FF 2.0 and IE 7
