I'm trying to get a Flash intro running (which I did *not* make, btw!) and can't seem to get it to work in anything but IE.

I do not know the first thing about Flash so odds are that it is something simple but I'll be darned if I can figure it out. I've looked at a few samples out there and the code here seems to be similar enough. Could it be a problem with the swf itself?

Which browsers did you test this in? It seems to work fine in Opera 7 & Mozilla - I only had a problem in NS 4, which means it's probably something with the tag. Do you have the .fla? It could help to just re-publish and see if there's a difference in the code. I did compare what you've got to what's on my site, and that line is more or less the same except for the "pluginspage" attribute which is just a link to Macromedia...

Sorry I can't help here...

Heh. Your site was one of the ones I used for code comparison Megan Smiling

No, I don't have the .fla but it looks like I may need to get it. I tested in IE6 (no prob), NN4.7 and 6.2, Opera 6.

The problem is probably with the code on the HTML page, and not within the .fla file.

That would be my first guess.

If he has the flash file he can re-publish it which could solve any problems.

This is HTML code that Flash generates (separate from the .swf file), between the body tags:

Substitute the param fields as necessary and it should work.
