Flash and Quicktime
Hi there,
I've imported a .mov into a flash movie, but I can't get the .mov to play inside the flash movie. This should be possible.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanx in advance,

Which version of flash are you using? I know that MX has better support for video than v. 5 does but that's as much help as I can give you. Hopefully someone with more flash knowledge will stop by and take a look at this soon...

Have you addeed keyframes to your timeline to make up the length of the video? In v. 5, this is what the help file says to do:
It also says that you have to export your movie as quicktime for it to work.

I'm using version 5.
One problem is that I do not know the # of frames in the QT mov.
The second problem is that I do not want to export it as a QT mov but as a swf.
Seems that I (we, me and my collegues) have to find another solution...
Thanx anyway, Megan.

I think that Flash MX would probably be able to do this, so you might want to check that out.

Flash 5 can't export .mov files as .swf's, but MX can. Wildform Flix is another option.
