Is it me or do the DW software gets worse as time goes by?

I have DW 8 on my laptop and DW MX on my desktop. Seems that although 8 helps alot with the layering and CSS (sorta), MX is just plain off easier to use and get actual work done.

On the other hand now that they bought the creators of Phakt, maybe it'll get better.

I worked with MX for ages and then got DW8 when it came out, I still cannot work out the CSS stuff, when I link to a CSS it doesn't seem to work, even though the link is there in the code!!??!!

I found MX better to work with - plus most of the extensions from Adobe (now) are not compatible with DW8, I had loads and had to uninstall them. I think I may switch back to MX when I start my next website.

I had a lot of rendering problems in MX, from what I remember. Although that's starting to happen in v. 8 now too. That's the biggest problem I have with DW, by far. I don't use a lot of extra features. Actually, it would be nice to have something a little more pared down, lighter, but that rendered properly.
