Default alignment for a web page - left, right or center?
Should a web page be aligned to the left, right or center of the monitor screen?
I have always aligned my web pages to the left side, using <table align="left">
. Is this still the standard?
Thanks in advance,
Roy

Hi Roy,
Normally web pages are centre aligned these days. If you look at this site on a larger monitor, you can see how it fits in the centre of the screen. I like to provide some sort of fill on either side too, so the design isn't floating in space on bigger screens. Sometimes you'll see designs with headers and footers or other elements that go all the way across while the content of those sections is fixed width and centered.
That said, if left alignment works better for your design there is no reason why you can't do it that way.
I hate to say it, but we don't normally use tables for web page layout anymore either

Wait a minute - You don't use tables for web page layout anymore? What is your method now? (Yes, I've been out of the business for a few years.)
Thanks again,
Roy
