Cross Browser/Platform font sizing

Interesting coellction from apple of fonts and what their actual sizes look like on different browsers/platforms when defined using different measurements (points, pixels & html)

What really strikes me is the huge differences for some of these, particularly when using HTML for font sizing.

I can't remember where but I saw a very detailed study that showed using Verdana and pt measurements in CSS gives the best results in keeping fonts consistant. Just a titbit!

No the study showed that Verdana 11 pt was the most consistant font. Oh well, either one work fine for me.

What study is this? 11pt is huge.
