Hey,

I found a really cool picture I would like to use for a background on a site im doing. Its pretty dark though and I need to make it alot lighter to blend in with the white background. I want to have pictures and text over this background too so it need it really light. How would I do something like that in Fireworks?

I dont have fireworks, but what I use for my default image viewer is iranview, displays images in a split second, dont have to wait for plugins, addons, or the program itself to load, and also has a handy resize, enhance feature among other things, if i wanted to lighten a image this is all i'd need to do:

double click on image (opens image)
click shift-g (or on tool bar, image/enhance colors)
slide the gramma correction to lighten/darken (dont have to worry about the red, blue, green, contrast or brightness - even thou its all on the same thing, also shows before and after)
click apply to image/ok
all done, oh if you want to keep it you have to file/save or it wont save when closed.

just thought I'd pass this on, its an awesome free program (I have nothing to do with it), but its not PhotoShop or Paint Shop Pro or fireworks which should be used of the making of the images.
