Creating a background - How to?

Hi there,
There are two ways of doing this:
1/ as your picture is so small you would have to go in a paint program and enlarge it. This would make it look really pixelated and poor quality so...
2/ get your hands on a bigger/higher res version of the image and use that.

Also, I don't think that you can use an animated gif as a background image.

I have a small gif that i would like to make into a large background picture-It seems like the tools I see are only for reducing gif sizes.
Any ideas?

What kind of background picture- if it is a tiling background, just set it as the background & it will automatically tile across the screen. Maybe if you were a little more specific and posted the URL for the image that would help a little too Smiling.

Thanks,

Oh, you can alright. I just wouldn't recommend it. Here's a site that actually uses one (and this guy thinks he's a good web designer!!!)

Ok, I understand why you don't want an animated gif as a background. That's not really what I was thinking of though. Apparently, the person I'm designing this for, actually has a logo, so it's a moot question. She hadtold me to find a moon.
Thanks for the replies!
