I'm completely ditching the flash site - it's too much of a pain to update (which is why it's stayed pretty much the same since I created it three years ago!). I'm planning on doing something completely new with strict xhtml and CSS layout. I have a prototype in which the fly still plays a prominent role. Need to find more time to wkr on that though.

I guess it does look more like a dragonfly Wink I prefer that comparison anyway.

THanks for all the feedback!

Hi again, Megan. I also like the "fly," but thought it might be a dragonfly (rather than a butterfly).

Personally, I think your site has a good balance of both warm and cool colors . . . maybe just a bit too much white (can promote lack of color), though. Perhaps the 2 links on the home page could be a slightly different color than the text (maybe a different variation of orange or something, like light coral???). Maybe the fly's body color could be something different than white, too . . . maybe another warm, just barely-there color (it would have to mix well with the orange in the wings, though).

The About and Resume titles on the pages where they are seen seem just a little too dark also.

The site is actually nice as it is (and I can view the flash stuff on MSNtv, too! Smiling), so basically everything above is optional. However, I think we all like a change now and then (I know my wife certainly does, LoL) . . . if for no other reason, because we can.

I'm with Suzanne - keep your brand but modify as needed so that it grows and evolves with you.

I think you could modify it slightly to maintain your "brand" but update the look. Colour variations, or changing the orientation, for instance. Play around a little? If it doesn't work, you can always return to the original idea, right?

It seems like some things have changed for you in the last year, maybe the fly should reflect some of those changes?

I have always liked your butterfly. Don't get rid of him.

Yep, keep the butterfly! It's cute, different, and I'm sure it reflects your beautiful - but delicate - personality. Smiling

I like your little butterfly, so I vote to keep it Smiling
