I figure some day I may look for a job in my field(s) and thats why I decided to create a resume/portfolio that can update as fast as I do.

http://users.wpi.edu/~jjinno/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl

The great part is that the portfolio can be a BBS with only me posting. The bad part is that I have no want to put my resume in this same kind of environment (nothing to do with the theme). I am looking for a way to have my resume accessable from all pages.

Why a BBS if only you are posting? Defeats the purpose, no? Use a blog, news script, CMS, or some other more sensible program. Smiling

true, but I didnt feel like programming something myself, and this runs on my schools system with no problems. I just figure that too many features is ok, and besides, I may end up opening some of the software forums up etc.

Basically, If I could find a good looking Perl-based CMS, blog, or news engine that also came with superior admin capabilities, Id be all over it. But Ive been googling and HotScript-ing for days with no such luck.

What server is this on? Do you have access to PHP, perhaps? I think it'll be worth using appropriate user interface even at the cost of poor admin capability. Or use a platform that gives you better options, like PHP. Smiling

Check out the "menu" I have going on now. I am going for something Panther style IE - the menu at the bottom of the screen that enlarges the icons as you scroll over them.

Anything out there already ?

Hm, by user interface I meant more than graphics and menus. I mean the logic that the user follows for a forum is different to that of a blog/news-style site. If Perl scripts for that kind of site don't exist, consider using PHP or another alternative. Smiling

For the menu in particular, try dynamicdrive.com. Smiling

Oh, and you know cgi.resourceindex.com, right?
