Clipping a path in Photoshop 5
Hey, I've been trying to separate a circle from the background in Photoshop using clipping paths so as I can use this circle in Frontpage 98 for a button. I've been following the instructions in my photoshop book, ie save clipping path as .eps only and then insert into another document, but (1) Frontpage doesn't accept .eps and (2) the object always seems to insert into another document as a dotted black and white image. Any suggestions, ideas how I can use clipping path correctly?
Thanks heaps
Felicia

Well I don't have a complete answer for you - but here is what I know. You can't use an eps in frontpage like you said, so you have to save as a jpeg or gif. But you can't use a clipping path with those. So I recommend just cutting out the background. The only thing I don't know how to do is make it so that the text will wrap around that circle the way it would in print if you were using a clipping path.
Sorry I am not of more help. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Here's one idea:
You use the Magnetic Lasso Tool [ONLY if the Circle is considerably different in color than the rest of the background] and start at the bottom, top, anywhere on the circle and then just guide it around the circle's shape.
If you have Photoshop 5.5, then you can use the Extract Feature. I'm not going to go into this.
You can go to http://www.andyart.com and search aorund there for a tutorial on it.
