buttons
I am look for a graphics program to download that I can make some buttons for my web site with.
I want to replace my text links on the navigation on my site with some buttons.
Any ideas?

I use Fireworks for all my graphics, you can download a trial version here

I would say that Fireworks would probably serve your purposes better and would be easier to learn. It's also got a lot of built-in tools for web graphics like button styles and things like that. I personally don't really like the way the interface works but that's up to you. It's also a lot cheaper than Photoshop (about 1/3 of the price I think) and the trial version is much more useful (AFAIK Adobe trial versions won't let you save anything)

I create stuff myself using photoshop - but just this morning someone told me about this site: http://www.buttontool.com

Alien Skin's Eye Candy is really nice for creating FX, but costs $250 (ouch) - there's a free trial but it's quite limited (and good luck tryin' to run it )
