Bizarre Photoshop problem
I've been running Photoshop 5.0 for many months on my NT based laptop. Photoshop is in use pretty well every day. I installed no new actions, fonts, etc., made no changes to any preference file attributes, and all of a sudden ...
When using the type tool, I cannot set the type size greater than 43 pixels. All of my installed fonts are available to Photoshop and apart from not being able to increase the font size, everything continues to work normally.
Even after a complete power-down and re-start this behaviour continues. The only thing I now notice is that when the program is loading, I do not see the little advisory telling me about loading fonts (or whatever that little message is).
Any ideas????

That is very strange, I can't think of anything that would be causing it if you did not change any system settings... You might want to take a look at:

Thanks, Brian. After scratching around the Adobe knowledge base .... I eventually reinstalled Photoshop and everything is OK. Obviously I corrupted something or deleted it while operating machinery under the influence of drugs - or something:)

PS does have a fonts prob, i sometimes lose all fonts from it even though they are still on the system. Illustrator does not seem to have this problem though.
