Anyone know of a good flexible slideshow maker?

What I need to do is be able to produce a single file containing the slideshow. I need to be able to embed an mp3 and it must allow for varying image display times from fairly rapid (approx a quarter of a second) to several seconds.

I tried Ansoft Flash Slide Show Maker which was pretty cool but the minimum image display time is 1s which is slightly too long (I want to have the changing of pictures in time with a fairly fast tune in places).

I'd rather not spend the whole evening downloading and installing tons of different programs so if you guys can recommend one that would be great

(It's times like this I wish I knew flash)
