Greetings all,

I'm back...

I had a question if anyone can help me, I decided to put a extra front page on my site for a number of reasons, for one, my script is written in pearl which the search spiders I'm told can't access and because I'm an adult related site I thought it would be good to make people agree to be of legal age and not offended by our material.., is that a good idea...?? Also so search engines will find us, I'll really optimize this front html page and have many links..?

My main question is where do I find a good legal statement, without hiring a lawyer and not spending a lot but complying with the latest most recent or upcoming rulings and laws on adult material..
What suggestions do you have as to what I should do on the main enter page as far as a statement, if you know a link to a good one I can copy..that would help…..

Feel free to look at the site its going through some changes since I was last here and although its a better script and yes looks like a template, I like the way it functions better then the last script and I'm changing and adding my own touches where I can to make it my own but I'm open to suggestions..

I haven’t let anyone list products yet, still working out all the kinks but we will start taking auctions in just a few days, so I need a good disclaimer link..

I've been learning new things all the time, I need your support please help me offer a free enviroment in which to trade anything adult related with out being frowned upon like some big auction sites do..

Thanks

I guess you could copy from another adult site, but, I think it would be better if you hired a lawyer.

Personally, we have a friend of the family who is a lawyer and looks over minor stuff for us. He suggested several revisions to our contract when we were first starting up.

If you know any lawyers, they may be willing to do something small like that for free.

There are heaps of adult webmaster sites that can give you info on this just search for Adult Resources and browse for legal info.
My understanding is this (and i'm not a lawyer) there are so many variations of what is legal from country to country and state to state that a disclaimer is not worth the screen space it takes up.....that being said at least you have made an attempt if you have one.
As we all know if a 13 year old boy finds a warning that they about to enter an adult site and the only thing to stop them is a page that says "STOP ARE YOU OLD ENOUGH TO ENTER" they will instantly shut down their computer and go back to their homework.

And what about girls? Porn isn't just a male thing. I was watching MTV yesterday and they were raiding a GIRL'S room, and she had porn on her DVD player.

Yes, I know that some girls also have interest in porn but that is not really the point I was trying to make.

My point was that here in Australia you are considered an adult and allowed to drink alocohol and access porn and all the other wonderful things at 18. If I have and adult site and I have all the warnings about the content and someone who is 20 accesses that site and they live somewhere that they need to be 21 to view such material, who is breaking the law? Me or them?
