Photoshop - try using the text tool and any font you want to produce an image.

Plan B - just use CSS like some big text

The sort of thing I am trying to get is like the text that reads "fixaphone" at http://www.4legs.fi/4legs/fixaphone.htm
I don't know enough to get the 3d effect with photoshop. is there another way (easier!!)

Thanks

Tony

Nothing would be easier than with Photoshop:)

New image and fill with the background colour you want.

Choose the T (text) tool and whatever font/size you want for your words. The effct on that image was produced with:

layer >> effects >> bevel & emboss, followed by
layer >> effects >> drop shadow

play with those layer settings to get just what you need.

Should take about a minute.

Yep, Photoshop's your best bet. It's really easy - just applying the effects as AndyB said. Don't be intimidated by Photoshop!
