SQL replication over the internet
I've been setting up my local MS SQL 7 to replicate to your remote MS SQL 7 over the internet.
I have been able to do a select and insert - but I've been unable to do an update, from my server.
Could you please let me know if this is at all possible - whether there is something obvious that I'm missing out that I should be doing. I know the remote SQL has a sygate firewall - would it possible that the admin has closed a port or something that'd prevent an update.
please let me know if you have any reference to remote SQL replication.
Please let me know your thoughts - thanks

If the selects and inserts are working then it's not the firewall that's preventing the updates from working.
Was your server set up as a publisher properly, and the target server as a subscriber?
A good resource are the Books Online which are installed by default when you install Enterprise Manager, just go to the index and type 'replication'
