mySQL user limits

Hi there,

I've developed a database driven web service which enables clients to build rich media catalogs. One of the clients being integrated into my system averages about 20,000 uniques/month. His site is 100% database dynamic. The limit on my current mySQL host database for simultaneous users is 30, and I'm wondering if that would pose a problem with the client's traffic. I can provide more info if required.

Thanks,

no you shouldnt have any problems. use persistent connections and/or increase the 30 link limit if you have problems

Unfortunately, the database is on a shared host and I can't change the limit.

30 users is enough. in any case, i am sure if you ask your host to raise the limit to 40, they will not mind.
