a little database help needed please
Hi
I want to set up a database directory on my server. Simple enough so far. But i want other websites to be able to have this directory showing on 1 of web pages.
As an example link dash dot com does something close to what i have in mind. Their registered users display a link directory on thier web page, but the content is hosted at link dash.
Do i need to set up an rss feed? or can this be done with a php script?
Thanks in advance.
Paul

Well, you'll need to have php or some server side language on the server end, as far as the client end of the scheme, you could do it with JS, CGI, PHP, ASP, any language really, you can do it with RSS, or you can make your own standard, and method of interpretation.

I have emailed them and they were not much help regarding the code script to go on the other websites page. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get an example please?

Umm, if youa re giving the sites as references for us to look at as to what you have in mind, why don't you make the links easier for people to follow (like let them becasome actual links?)

Ive been working on my own link website, its in its standard format at the moment, but you can see it at http://www.siegewars.co.uk/links and the admin panel is at http://www.siegewars.co.uk/links/admin.asp
pm me for a password/login to test the nice admin panel. It has features such as links submitted have to be verified before being viewed on the site.
