I have no time to learn this and I just got approached to design a website that needs a DB, no graphics, no bells or whistles, just a pretty big inventory DB that needs to be updated by my client, for dealer to dealer inventory.

Anyone want to give me a quote to do it ? I need massive HELP !!!!!!!!!! Confused

I'm more of a graphics asp guy , not too familiar with DB development.

I need someone , and I need this to be done in 3 weeks max.

What type of server environment will it be on? do you have samples of what all information will be entered, what type of reports / searches they will need back?

Will this be on a private server, or will it be on a public site, so you will also have to build user control in as well?

The basics of it are this:
>> I have a company that stocks Motorcycles.
>> They would like a database setup so they can update thier
>> inventory. Also if a dealer orders a certian bike the DB must also
>> take it off the inventory list.

>> They also would like a way for other dealers to log in and view
>> the same inventory with a different interface oblivoisly.
>> The goal is so that other motorcycle dealers can log on and see if
>> they have a specific motorcycle.
>>
>>
>> Database fields: (in order)
>> Date
>> Color
>> Model
>> Crate #
>> VIN
>>
>> Database Functions:
>> Inventory
>> Product Search
>> updated the inventory
>> dealers to schedule delivery of specific bike
>> dealer delivery history
>> Crated or pre-assembled bikes
>>
>> The inventory:
>> Kawasaki
>> Yamaha
>> Honda
>>
>> The supplier (my client) needs to be able to add and delete
>> inventory , and BOTH the supplier and the dealer need to have VERY
>> easy to use interface.
>>
>> I also need to have a login for dealers and the supplier
>> (myclient) , so one login for my client and a separate login for
>> dealers. This a dealer to dealer website, with my client updating
>> the inventory. MUST BE EXTRELEMLY USER FRIENDLY.

Windows Server - public site, a dot com site..

I think you will find the timescale is the issue.

Many here are going to be one person operations (myself included) and I know that I couldn't hope to have an inventory system done and fully tested in 3 weeks starting from ground zero.

Just looking at the broad spec I can see issues already

"Crated or pre-assembled bikes"

nothing in the field list suggests anywhere marking an items status.

This kind of thing leads to "feature creep" and you end up designing the stucture/interface on the fly which can lead to all kinds of disasters later in the process.

Understandable , but that is my timeline , might be able to squeeze 4 weeks out of it , but thats all.

Any Quotes ? I know it will cost to have it done , dont be afraid to give a quote anyone...

Thanks,
