I'm hooked on Pmachine Pro. It's free and sexy as hell.
(see pmachine.com) I use it to power my blog greendezire.com
Pmachine has a big brother called Expression Engine which has a lot more options. (same site)

Thanks andy for you reply.
Im amazed that only you replyed to this message. I was hoping to see more people interested in this issue.
I've done some searching on the web these past few days and I found a open-source cms called TextPattern. I've seen around 20 websites all using TextPattern
I've downlloaded it and played with it a little but it seams very difficult to use .
Anyone here is using it ?
Cheers,
StudioWorks

I use PHPNuke. Easy to make new modules. Only big downside is you have to keep code pretty current to avoid hacking. But I imagine that's true with any open-source CMS.

Text Pattern is quite complex at first, but it's good when you get into it. Have a search in the text pattern forums, theres loads of guides and tips that should help you out.

I think that the best is Wordpress. Not hard to use. Good templeting system and lots of other good stuff that is to lengthy to go into now.
It is by far the best that I have used.
All valid CSS and XHTML! Good stuff!

Well I use Nuke for 3 sites, although I have made the forums standalone phpBB since I had some issues with the mods I wanted installed.
Since I don;t have the time to learn PHP so well in order to develop a good CMS and I don't have the disposition I just use it. It's free and good. I'd rather spend my time creating articles, taking care of my members and so on than to try to deliver a CMS that would be good. The CMS communities are huge and there are some people who really know what they are doing. I don't want to compete with them, I just want to use the result of their hard work

Chek out Drupal it has built in a blog, forum, search and collaborative book features along with all the standard CMS stuff. There are heaps of contributed modules. It's pretty easy to configure and there are a lot of templates available which are also not to hard to customise once you get your head around it.
As with most open source support can be a bit of a problem unless you ask the right question in the right way, but with a bit of seaching you can find answers to most questions.
There are no stupid questions, only stupid people!
