We have recently lost the .com and we are waiting for the admin bods to match everything to the .net which we are using presently.
For a complete story on the situation read this thread

I'm not quite sure if I understand. Are you saying that the domain name (.com) was registered to you, but somebody else stole it? If so, how on earth could that happen?? Or did you orginally get a free domain name with your hosting company and because of the number of hits you had, they decided to relieve you of your .com?

Yes the .com was registered to Chad (I think) and now by all accounts they have somehow 'stolen' it from us, how I'm not quite sure! This isn't the first time they have done it either!!

We're not sure exactly what happened either. I assume that Chad is working on figuring that out as we speak.
The domain was registered to TWF owner Chad Simper, and was paid in full until March of 2003. However, the domain seems to have expired without notice on or around May 26 of this year.
As I said in another thread:
There are two possible culprits here - first of all, this problem of domains mysteriously expiring without notice seems to happening to a lot of people lately. This may be just a problem with the registrar, who knows. The second problem is this Ultimate Search company, who often seems to end up with the mysteriously expired domains.
Suzane noted in another thread that this sort of thing often results from a forged fax.

I think we are all waiting to hear from Chad as to what he has done so far and what the exact situation is, then we can decide what is best to do next.

At the moment, we can really use your help in spreading the word about the new url. Please let everyone you know know that webmasters-forums.net is the new url and will be the permanent url possibly forever, but at least until this is wrapped up.
Chad has decided to market this url, and make it the main url, so please, pass the word along to anyone you know who was/is a member here and hasn't been around since the old url changed hands.
Thank you!
Suzanne
