I forgot to mention that we will be including author bios (hopefully soon!). We hope to have a short author bio at the end of the article which would link to a more expanded profile and links to your other articles on the site.

What do you mean, assign topics? Do you want me to tell you what to write about? I might be able to give you something from the Basic Web Design series.
BTW, we will hopefully have 2 new articles published tomorrow!

One cunning idea might be to implement a moderator queue for new articles. So users can author on the site, it'll make the process easier to understand and they'll be able to see their articles in-situ. Am pretty certain I saw a module of http://drupal.org that would do this yesterday. Should I put it in Basecamp?

Sounds like what SEOmoz has for their "YouMoz" section. I'll show you tonight.
Doing it in the forums has an upside too though - makes it easier to manage reviews and feedback.

Like what you said, do it in the forums, add an area where certain articles are critiqued and edited by the group and at least scrutinized before release... By giving topics I mean, you categorize the article contribution area to general topics accepted by a padded cell...

I would be interested to hear what articles you need written... I can write on all sorts of things, I just never have the ideas!
Perhaps there should be an APC content forum, but just list the topics that are wanted to people in a new 'contributor' group? I don't think you want to publish the list to the world as it would make it too easy for people to nick em for other sites.

I have a running list in Basecamp - just ideas I come up with. I also have an outline for the Basic Web Design series - I could delegate parts of that. I get a lot of inspiration from problems I see here in the forums. Things people have a lot of questions about - that's where the current SEO article came from or evidently have problems with. So keep an eye out when you're reading here. You could also write about things you've come across in your work - problems and solutions, how to's, that sort of thing. I have a two-part tutorial written about this FAQ I made at work. It just breaks it down, explains how it was developed and why I made certain choices in the mark-up.
That's a good idea for a contributor group. We'd like to have a defined group of editors and proofreaders for all content as well.
We could also really use help promoting our content - if you have a blog or use any social bookmarking sites we'd really appreciate a linkback (that reminds me to go post on my blog about the latest articles...)

dear webmaster,
I liked the way your website is set up, but I find it hard to be able to search for the item I wish to be searching for. I feel the website could use a beter site navigation which will lead first time users in the right direction. The website too seems to be a little plain. I feel their could be more color or just brighter colors as well as pictures and so on. The website needs to be more appealing and informational.
Thank you for allowing me to give you some feedback.

Did you mean to post this here or is this supposed to go someplace else?
