Update on Future Changes
Hi everyone,
As many of you know, the forums changed ownership in October. With the change in ownership we began to plan and implement many changes in the forum. Some of these have already been completed (advertising, partner/affiliate links/badges etc.)
We have slightly modified our longer term plans for the site. The next big change will be a facelift and upgrade to vBulletin 3.5. This will happen sometime in Feburary or March. The facelift will include new forum buttons and graphics and an improved layout with a sidebar to hold partner links and other assorted tools (there will be an option to turn the sidebar off for anyone browsing at smaller resolutions).
vBulletin 3.5 has a lot of interface improvements that you will notice, including some Ajax functionality for posting and editing messages. It also has a much improved plugin system so it will be easier for us to make changes and add functionality to the forums.
The next big step will be the development of a content portal with a complete redesign and many other enhancements. We haven't quite ironed out the details on that, so I won't say much more except that we have big hopes for the site and a lot of ideas.

I'm a very new member here, so I had no idea it was even under new ownership, but I'm happy to be here, and very happy to see that you'll making improvements. Sounds like a good place will only be getting better. Good luck with the changes.
