TWF Slow?
Is anyone else finding TWF pages slow in response for the last couple of days? On average it takes around 30 secs to load a page for me, that's a long time to sit there.
It's not the type of load where you can see the page loading very slowly, I'll click a post and then sit there for 30 seconds with no changes, and then the page will load.
Kinda strange?
FYI I'm on a T1 and not ahving trouble with any other sites.

I don't experience any problems and I am using 28k and 56k modem speed for my 2 computers at home and at the office I use ISDN(128k).
I visit TWF a few times a day during work and after work to check the latest and for the last few days I didn't notice any slow down in speed when accessing the forums and posting.
Regards,
NSS

I am not having any problems either, and I have been on TWF *a lot* over the last couple days.
I'm on DSL so clicking instantly takes me to the next page with absolutely no wait... I haven't yet experienced lag in TWF that I can remember.
The server that TWF is on maintains loads under 1 average at all times. Very rarely does it go above that and when it does, it's a sudden hit with a huge script but the load comes right back down.
The problems you are experiencing Peter aren't related to the server. It's possible they are related to the network we use, but I doubt that too because I have had no problems nor has NSS.
Something that I am all to use to saying is "just because you can access other sites doesn't mean it's instantly the problem of the host"
I'm not against it being a problem over here though, so if others have experienced increased delays in the site loading, let me know.

Chad,
Hopefully it's just a routing issue between me and the TWF server that will go away soon. It is really slow... I timed it and it took me almost 6 minutes to load TWF click this post and reply. Not including the time after I click "Submit Reply", that'll probably take another minute or so

Do you have a tracert to TWF? That has to be a router issue.

Chad,
Here's the tracert, I've X'd out the first 2 since those were our local gateways. The 3rd one on the list was the slowest to respond even though it said <10ms, it took roughly a minute, hmmm.
There's not much you can do so don't worry about it. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something on TWF that was causing the problem. The only reason I thought it might be something on TWF was it seemed to happen at the same time you implemented the banners.

I haven't noticed any speed difference recently, which, I guess, is a good thing.
