TWF Changes!
As some of you may have experienced this morning, TWF has been going through some changes this morning.
First, let me bring all of you up-to-date on what has been happening during the last 7-10 days. A previous thread let on to what was happening a bit but until things were finalized, neither myself nor JP wanted to disclose what was happening. Now that things have been finalized, I am pleased to announce that TWF has an extremely excited and proud new owner.
Who is the new owner you ask? Well, you've probably already guessed it - I am. Technically, my firm, Dynamic Internet Solutions now owns TWF but I intend to continue to run TWF just as JP has, as a non-profit, non-banner driven community that webmasters can visit. Because of my available resources, it makes it even easier to accomplish these goals. I have absolutely no plans to promote my company anymore than it already is (yes, there is a small link at the top linking to us).
JP is still a very big part of and will always be a big part of TWF, but because of time constraints and so many other things going on in his life, he felt the community would be best off if someone else controlled it. In honor of JP, he has been given the title "TWF Founder" and he will be the only one to ever have this title and he will have it forever. He probably won't be around much for a while, but he does plan to come back in a while to take up moderation of a forum or two, depending on availability.
Now on to the fun part... A lot of you have been pointing out some minor things that you would like to see done around here... And as such, I will be addressing every one of them. As soon as I have posted this thread, I will posting another asking for any and all comments and suggestions that you have for the forums, and I will address them based on that thread.
A couple of things that have already been changed:
- I have moved the forums to the root web directory. They are no longer found in the /forums directory (which you probably noticed). This was done simply because I think it is cleaner and easier.
- Administrative permissions have been changed
- The vB software was upgraded to the latest v1.1.4 which increases speed and mySQL performance among a number of improvements
- The IP address link problem has been corrected although I need to go through the templates to make sure IP address references no longer exist
Some things that are on my agenda for getting completed today:
- Cleaning up the templates so that everything is the same
- I will be making sure all pages look as they should (i.e. this make post page needs some modifications)
- Analyzing and adjusting forum descriptions
- Setting up a private forum for moderators to discuss problems, questions, or comments with each other and myself.
- And if suggestions come in today, I will be attempting to address them today as well.
I of course welcome all questions or comments on these changes. You can either post here or e-mail me directly.
I look forward to continuing the excellent tradition that JP provided by creating a wonderful and exciting community. And I sincerely hope that this change doesn't affect your decision to continue your TWF participation.

Ah Great. Chad owns it now. Ok I quit.
Just playin. Glad to see some changes and fixings starting to happen but sad to see JP not own it anymore.
One thing that I think should be added ASAP is the Moderator Forum for only the Moderators.
That's all from me you'll hear about this.
