some technical problems
Maybe it's just me, but any post I made today I had to submit twice. The first time I got the message that says there was some tech problem, asking me to hit the back button and submit again. It also said an email will be sent to the forums admin, but I thought I'd bring it up just in case.
I've also noticed that posts don't add up on the post counter. There are several new members that have "0 posts" right next to their post

I am also having the same problems. I think Chad is aware of the problem as he did some tests and is working on it.

Is this why there haven't been many post over the last couple of days? I guess it's Easter too. Okay..I don't know what's up but the forums are telling me (my cookie rather) that there haven't been any post since the 12th. I only came in here to ask where everyone was and then I saw this thread. It also says this thread has 0 replies...hmm..

Sorry about the problems folks. The search tables of the mysql database became corrupted somehow. I had to empty the "word" and "searchindex" tables and rebuild them and that seems to have cleared things up.
I just realized it today after Marc brought it to my attention via e-mail... I am out of town on vacation (though I have my laptop) on a slow connection so I haven't visited TWF but just once a day.
Anyway, sorry again. If you notice any more problems, let me know. I'm going to rebuild the forum posts and counters right now so that everything is correct.
P.S.: There was also a period of time on Friday that the forums were completely down because of a router hardware issue at the NOC.
