OK, all moderators and administrators should have access to the private forum. If you don't, post here and we will get you access.

Is the private forum just there to mock the rest of us saying "haha you don't have access". Come on, show a little sympathy and make that forum invisible to us normal users

Now I see it, really weird.
Try putting the bgcolor attribute inside the <td> instead of the <tr> but that shouldnt really make a difference. Did you try out other NS versions?

Malte,
I think you posted in the wrong thread..?
Rob,
I don't think BT gives the option of hiding a private forum... Plus, it would make it harder to get to by moderators and administrators so I don't think it will be hidden... Just don't scroll all the way to the bottom I don't know what type of information we JP intends to have posted there but we may be able to give read access to it for members if it isn't super secrect The main point of it I think is for moderators to communicate with administrators about problems, etc. We may however have to discuss a certain member which would be one reason for not granting read permission to it... I will have to talk with JP about it to find out what exactly his purposes are for it.

I thought that the Private forums were invis unless you had access to it. I guess that is not the case. (I haven't tried it on my board yet).

I think this private forum won't be anything super-top-heavy-secret, we always discuss things like this via phone or ICQ. Let's say it's just a forum to share some info between the staff (counting the incoming billions etc....)
and about the read access: when i want to say something that concerns really everybody, i post it here, because i want to hear other peoples opinions, this is what a discussion-board is there for!
The best thing will be to post just some announcements about the board there, and that's it. so no member has to be curios anymore, it's just boring stuff in there

Can any of you moderators access the new Private Forum? I see there is a post there, but I can't access it to read. I talked with Patrick a couple days ago and he can't access it either. If anyone can access it, please let us know - we may have to tear this script apart, again.

I put it up but even I can't access it, sadly I'm too busy to try and resolve this problem at the moment...
Sorry,

Patrick made a post at the BT support board which in turn got a response from Joseph that clarified what needs to be done. We must edit the profile of each member that should have access to the private forums. I will do that shortly if Patrick hasn't done it by then
