A Partnership Annoucement
We are proud to announce a new partnership agreement with Dream in Code: a Programming and Web Development Community. Dream in Code is an excellent resource for programming help. If there's anything we can't help you with here we encourage you to head over there for some specialized support.
What this means for TWF is that we will be displaying a Dream in Code linkback - probably somewhere in the upper-right side of the screen. This will be happening within the next few days.
There is also the possibility of some cross-site contests or other fun events. Dream in Code has regular programming contests with some great prizes so we can look forward to that.
We are looking for additional partners. If you know of any sites that might be a good fit please contact me privately. We are looking for high quality sites on related topics without too much overlap (i.e. graphic design, computer help etc.). Our new design will have a better space for partnership linkbacks.
We feel that these partnerships create a "win-win" situation for TWF and the sites we are involved with. We hope you will find the relationships to be beneficial as well.
Thank you,
Megan Jack

I heard a romour from a pal of mine (a member of the admin zone) that you were looking for a partner. I didn't want to say anything incase it was another surprise.

*snigger* I thought Megan was taken and certainly shouldn't be looking for a partner
Anyway, joking aside there's plenty happening around here and a lot more to come (although some patience will be required to see it all come to fruition!). As said, it's a win-win thing where complementary sites can help each other out by providing their areas of expertise to the others membership.
Very exciting!

My only hope is that we dont change it too much and lose all that makes this site great

That's what we realy want to keep in mind with all this, vibins. We want to remember who we are but at the same time grow the site and make it better. I'm actually putting some of this stuff in writing - and if you ever find that we're getting away from who we are just tell us

Very true vibins we have to be a little careful
We want to keep what makes this place great, but advance it as well. To become more popular/successful, but for all the right reasons, not just in order to sell some ghastly books (Ooops, did I just say that?! )

No, it's not. Just someone I met at TAZ. They've got a great site so it's a good deal for us.

I guess since we are going to be partnering up I should quit lurking I'm the webmaster at dreamincode.net, I lurk around here, sitepoint, TAZ, WebmasterWorld, and a few other community sites. I'm looking forward to seeing friendly faces from TWF and my site!
I've always been a web geek myself, you'll probably see me around here more often to get my web dev fix, those C++ and Java programming geeks at my site are way above my head
