Yes, a nice touch.
Especially the reply and quote at the bottom of posts. Nicely makes the links more defined and individual.

Is it just me or is the new logo a little on the yellow-ish side? I think I might have done that on the old one because the lighter weight text was looking grey. Here that wouldn't be a problem.

Colorzilla shows the main color as #f5f5dc - so it seems it is yellow-greenish
I ain't no designer - color looks fine to me - but "Webmaster" looks a little "soft" against the dark gray bg - I see Forums has a similar softness but the color makes it less noticeable.

It is a little "yellow-ish/green-ish".
But it does go well with the green nav directly below it.
And bright white, although usually professional looking, can often be a bit boring
