I love the Forum, however the site should be easier to navigate. There should be a link on the home page for new thread. Keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!

I "New Thread" link can't be put on the main forum page because there would be no way to determine what forum you want the post to be posted.

I agree. I went through a very brief period of stupidity.
I will not let it happen again.

Theoretically, a "post new thread" form reached from the main page could have a dropdown menu of topics to choose from.

Now maybe that's not a feature of the vBulletin software this forum uses, but I did say "theoretically"! Smiling

That would be pretty simple to implement. That was what I had in mind.

Maybe have a "View New posts" link on every forum so that people just click on that.

What does that have to do with anything Parker? Maybe you should read the whole thread first, before posting Smiling

Anyway, I've never heard of a forum having a "New Thread" button on the main page, but I suppose it could be hardcoded into the forums. I don't really see why it's needed, but if we get enough demand I'm sure Chad would consider it.

Just don't request a "Reply" button on the main page. Now that would be impossible.

Justin, I did read the whole thread although I usually don't. That is just something that I want to see added. I use it on SitePoint and would also like to use it here. I posted it in this thread since it was the newest and I figured it would get read more, because I do not like real long threads not sure if it is the same for everybody else too or not.
