New feature coming to BigTalker - survey feature

I'm adding a test survey feature to BT this week. It will only allow you to get yes/no answers to one question, but it will only be a test and I plan to expand it once the test is finished.

I would like to test it here. Mostly to get opinions of those here.

Polpus, a regular here, has developed a very cool survey add-on for the forum that JP will hopefully be allowing. It is much more feature oriented than what you are explaining so I think it would be best for JP to use it. I will be installing it later tonight for him.

Doesn't really matter Chad, I'm adding it for my customers, of which JP is only one. If he wants to use it, he can. If not, doesn't have to. Of course, it would be nice to have it built in with the forum.

JP: I'm testing it at the bigtalker forums first. Next I would like to test it here and get opinions.

I was just wondering whether you all are doing the voting options because I suggested something like it in these forums a while ago?

Later,

Joseph,

Polpus's script does in fact integrate with BT. Plus, it has more than just a yes/no answer option Smiling

As I said, I'm only testing it with the yes/no option. Once the testing is finished (this week actually), more options/choices can be given. I've already added the survey feature because my customers have asked for it. Your version might intergrate with BT now, but as new versions are released, it might not. Not to mention the mailing list feature being added.

Joseph,

Sorry, I didn't intend to offend you (I think you might have been). If your customers are looking for it and you are delivering that is great! It shows that you work for your customers. That is what you have to do and I am glad to see that you are.

It takes a lot to offend me, so don't think you did Wink. There is only one or two that have and they never visit this forum (TG).

<update>I tested the yes/no survey feature and it worked. I'm now adding the unlimit answers. Each discussion will be able to have it's own poll and you don't have to post to submit your vote.</update>

OK, looks very promissing Smiling

- needs graphical display
- scrap the ability for multiple votes
- what is that black bar on the top menu for?
